Products which are shown as in stock will generally be sent within 2 working days from when payment has been received. The majority of product listings on our website are dispatched directly from our brand supplier/manufacturer partners, and for larger items such as guitars, may take 3-5 days for delivery from point of order. This is (thankfully) due to quality control procedures put in place by our suppliers in order to visually inspect and check a product before packaging and despatch to you, the end user. This process generally minimises returns and inconvenience to you, our valued customer. In all cases whereby a product listed as in stock has been ordered, and there is a delay in despatch from our supplier partner beyond our published estimates, we will contact you immediately to discuss this. Thankfully, these circumstances are a rare occurrence.
Seasonal variations (such as Christmas, Easter and Public Holidays.) in delivery estimates can vary. In these instances, please do contact us at the above number for further information where one of our staff will be glad to assist.
Products which are shown as “Available To Order” usually take 5-7 working days to despatch, but we will confirm this with you upon receipt of an order.
If an item cannot be delivered to you within 5 working days, we will contact you to inform you of this, and ensure that it is shipped the next working day after it has arrived at our premises or direct from our supplier partner if applicable.
How Packages Are Sent To You…
The shipping method used is determined by the size & nature of the goods being purchased. The majority of our website inventory is despatched directly from our supplier partners, who between them use a varied selection of leading Courier services.
Smaller items will sometimes be sent by standard letter or parcel post (This generally applies to small items held in stock, in-store)
In all cases, we are unable to be specific about delivery times. All Deliveries are made Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 6.00pm

No-one at home?
A Courier will try and deliver your parcel(s) twice. Upon the first attempt, you will receive a notification (usually a written card posted through your letterbox..) that your item could not be delivered, and you must follow the instructions to contact the courier directly to arrange re-delivery. It is your responsibility to book this directly with the courier. Should there be a failed second attempt to deliver after rearranging delivery, your goods will be returned to our supplier partner’s warehouse/or to our business address* (*If applicable). If you would like us to try and deliver them again, we will charge the delivery charges associated with your order again. For specific items originally ordered with FREE delivery included, we are unable to absorb the carriage cost for a second time, and as such reserve the right to apply the appropriate carriage charge in this instance. Alternatively, you can arrange for the items to be sent directly to our store for collection in person if required. In all cases, we will do our best to be as accommodating as possible to assist with achieving the best possible resolve.

If you are in any doubt that you may not be able to receive delivery of your item, you can opt to have it delivered to a different address upon checkout through our PayPal server. Alternatively, why not try our click and collect service whereby you can collect your purchase in store, and at your own convenience.
Digital Piano Deliveries
We do not use couriers to execute the delivery of Digital Pianos. All deliveries of these often large and heavy items are carried out in person by the Martin Phelps Music staff or by one of our reliable team of delivery personnel, who will unpack and assemble your new instrument in your home. They will also remove all packing materials too. We find that almost all of our customers prefer this approach to the delivery of a large item requiring assembly, and we too think (most importantly) it is for our mutual peace of mind that the delivery and assembly has been carried out correctly.
The FREE delivery AND installation of digital pianos is offered to areas outside of the London Congestion Zone (We are able to quote for deliveries made within the London Congestion Zone) and within a 5 miles radius of CR0 1BE. A £1 per mile additional charge will be made for deliveries exceeding the first 5 miles, and are charged for the outward journey only.
For customers purchasing Portable Digital Pianos & Keyboards that are eligible for FREE LOCAL DELIVERY, you will be contacted upon receipt of order to discuss delivery dates and times. As above, the delivery of these items are made in person rather than by courier. We can also offer alternative delivery options on these items if purchasing from outside of the FREE LOCAL DELIVERY catchment area. Please call us or email below to enquire.
